Korea Portal

hi, guys.
Several of us have tried to contact the leader of the Korea portal over the course of about five months but there has been no response. I think we need to move on and find new leadership to get that portal open. We really can't have abandoned portals on the schedule in a hidden state because someone else may want to take it on and move it forward. Korea is too important to leave this way.
At this point, I propose that we seek a new leader for the Korea portal. If we can't find a new leader, we should archive the current portal content, delete the project, and remove Korea from the schedule.
Agree? Disagree? Anyone interested in leading the portal?

+1
If he did not respond during the last 5 month then let's move on.

Ok, thanks. This is very cool. I'd really like to get the Korea Portal open, so thanks for jumping in. :) Let's give it another day for any other comments. I'll check in tomorrow with next steps.
So far we have interest from the following:
* Kwanghoon Jhin * Jaeyoun Kim

Ok, so we have new leaders for the Korea Portal. Thanks you. This is cool. :)
I've added these names to the Korea Portal project:
* Kwanghoon Jhin * Young Joo Pintaske * Jaeyoun Kim * Sunjae Park
http://kr.opensolaris.org/ | http://kr.opensolaris.org/leaders/
Since Jay did the initial translations, I left him as a lead for now. However, you guys are the Korean Portal leads now, so this will be your decision going forward. Also, if you want to add additional people, that's your decision as well. I'm only listed as a leader because something I need to get in there and do site things.
For those of you who are not Sun employees, please make sure you review, sign, and submit the Sun Contributor Agreement:
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/about/sun_contributor_agreement/ http://www.opensolaris.org/os/about/faq/sca_faq/
Basically, the OpenSolaris portals are altered project spaces to look somewhat the front page. You have about 15 pages in there now, some of which are translated. You can edit the pages and make your translations and add new original content as well. If you want additional pages from the English site moved into your portal, let me know and we'll do that. For now, though, I'd just concentrate on translating the English content that is there so you can open. Then you can add content as you go. You can't translate every element on the portal, though. Just look at any of the other portals as an example. Some stuff is generated from the webapp and can't be touched right now. However, in v2 of the portal, we'd like to be able to make the entire page open to translation, including icons.
Remember, opensolaris.org is not a wiki, so you can easily write over each other's work and we can't track that. So, I suggest that you talk to each other and figure out who is working on what.

I updated the Portal Project table to reflect this leadership change: http://opensolaris.org/os/project/portals/
Ping me with any questions. And let me know when you think you can open.

Dear Jim,
Thank you for your kind explanation. I will submit the Sun Contributor Agreement soon.
Could you also send the email addresses of new leaders to us?
As you suggested, I think that new leaders need to know each other first in order to figure out who is woring on what.
Regards, Jaeyoun Kim
