Welcome to the Distribution Community Group

The Distribution Community Group exists to facilitate the collaborative design and development of OpenSolaris-based distributions.

In our community you will find distribution projects, articles, blogs, and content of both a technical and non-technical nature. Our community group is focused on distribution projects and the tools related to authoring and maintaining them. Our community group is also the central place for discussions and decisions regarding OpenSolaris-based distributions and their impact upon the OpenSolaris community.

Distributions are important to developers and users. As a result, the participation of individuals of all backgrounds and levels of experience is needed in our Community Group. We invite you to join us!

We are just getting started and so not much content is available at this time. However, more information on project sponsorship and Community Group membership will be available soon.

Until then, we invite you to look at some of the OpenSolaris distributions community members have already produced.
