Subject: heads up for snapshot users -and- onnv_20 snapshots now available
Build 20 status: http://onnv.sfbay/links/status/20.html
This is a heads up for snapshot users. Because of spurious lint errors
in the gate at the close of build 20, we have published two snapshots
for that build. Details may be found in the status report linked above,
with the following excerpt for your convenience:
Build 20 has been delivered to the WOS. The snapshot is now available at
/net/onnv.eng/export/snapshot/onnv_20
This snapshot is identical, in every way, to what was tested by ON PIT
and delivered to the WOS for snv_20.
In addition, there is a second snapshot available at
/net/onnv.eng/export/snapshot/onnv_20_clean
This snapshot contains the fixes for
6302020 Fix lint errors caused by 6278578
6302024 Fix hardcoded version number in MD5's modlcrypto
introduced by 627857
What does this mean? It means that children of the onnv_20 snapshot
will see lint errors. These errors may be safely ignored, but they
can be annoying.
Children of onnv_20_clean will NOT see the corresponding errors.
Who should use what snapshot? If you are developing, testing, or
debugging using the arcfour or arcfour2048 modules on the sun4v
platform, you should use onnv_20. All others may safely use
onnv_20_clean.
Either way, you should not encounter merge or divergence problems.
