For anyone who has not been seeing odd NFS problems since Monday, you may
ignore this message.
The putback for
6337437 .zfs doesn't work over NFS
introduced a problem most commonly manifested by the inability to stat NFS
mountpoints that were held open across a server reboot switching from bits
without that bugfix to bits including that bugfix. These stale mounts were
not cleared automatically, and may have to be cleared by forcing a remount
of the offending mountpoint. In some cases, a client reboot may be
necessary.
Note that this only affects clients of x86 servers, not sparc.
The putback for
6345690 nfsv4-test panics: assertion failed: ((((nfs_fh4_fmt_t *)(&cs->fh)->nfs_fh4_val)->fh4_flag) & (2))
in addition to fixing a panic, also returns to the state before 6337437,
and creates another flag-day of the same type.
The first fix came into the gate in time for bits dated 2005-11-01, and the
second fix is in bits dated 2005-11-04.
Apologies for the late notice.
Thanks,
Danek
