Subject: Heads up: anti-Flag Day for clients of x86 NFS servers
On Nov 4'th we had a flag day for NFS clients getting
stale mounts, requiring client reboots, when servers upgraded
to builds that had the fixes for:
6337437 .zfs doesn't work over NFS
6345690 nfsv4-test panics: assertion failed: ((((nfs_fh4_fmt_t
*)(&cs->fh)...
With the putback of:
6351165 Off by one word in xdr_decode_nfs_fh4
All the stale problems go away.
The server will now respond gracefully to any past filehandles
that it sent out (before or after any of these fixes) in a way
that all clients should be able to automatically handle
without any more reboots.
Sorry for any problems this may have caused.
