Subject: Flag day: SMF-based routing management
If you do not use BFU, or you do incremental builds, then
PSARC 2006/552 Quagga SMF Modifications
6312914 routeadm needs to support smf-based routing services
represents a flag day. Specifically:
* Those doing incrementals will need to
"cd $SRC/cmd/cmd-inet/usr.sbin; make clobber" prior to
bringing over these changes, as routeadm and in.rdisc
are now directories rather than built executables.
* Those not using BFU, and running any of the daemons
in.routed, in.rdisc, in.ndpd or in.ripngd will need to run
"/sbin/routeadm -u" in order to migrate configuration
to the appropriate SMF services (rebooting will take care
of this automatically).
With this putback, the above daemons are converted to SMF services
and are manageable via routeadm (1M). For more details, see
our OpenSolaris project page:

thanks!
