Subject: Heads up: caution if you build you own install images
If you do NOT create your own install images, you can ignore this message.
If you DO create your own install images using pieces from the ON and the
Install consolidations this note DOES apply to you.
The putback of "5079356 Framework should provide administrative audit
trail/history" in the ON consolidation creates a dependency on the putback
of "6630372 /etc/{passwd,shadow} are not present in the early install boot
environment" in the Install consolidation. If your install image contains
only the fix for 5079356, you will see messages like the following when you
boot the install image:
Nov 15 02:08:16 svc.startd[100004]: Could not set reconfiguration property:
Not owner
Nov 15 02:08:16 svc.startd[100004]: Could not initialize state for
svc:/system/boot-archive:default: Not owner.
Nov 15 02:08:16 svc.startd[100004]: Could not commit state change for
svc:/system/boot-archive:default to repository: Not owner.
Nov 15 02:08:16 svc.startd[100004]: Could not initialize state for
svc:/system/filesystem/root:default: Not owner.
Nov 15 02:08:16 svc.startd[100004]: Could not commit state change for
svc:/system/filesystem/root:default to repository: Not owner.
Nov 15 02:08:16 svc.startd[100004]: Could not initialize state for
svc:/system/install-discovery:default: Not owner.
You should not continue with the install in this case. You should pick up
the fix for 6630372 from the Install consolidation.
