Subject: Heads Up: bldenv update (CR #6600149)
Hi!
----
Heads Up: bldenv update
CR #6600149 ("RFE: Cleanup bldenv a bit")
* Changes:
- "bldenv" now maintains an internal manpage which can be accessed like
this:
$ bldenv --man # will output plain text
$ bldenv --nroff # will output the manpage in nroff format
$ bldenv --html # will output the HTML format
- "bldenv" now includes a builtin version number which can be accessed
using $ bldenv --version # - if you report bugs against "bldenv" please
report this version number together with the build id.
- "bldenv" now supports on/off flags for all boolean operators, e.g.
"-d" will enable debug mode, "+d" will disable debug mode etc. If
multiple boolean flags for the same optino are given the last one will
define the behaviour.
- The new "bldenv" version requires at least Solaris 11/B72 on the build
machine.
- Prior to this fix, if the SUNWonbld tools are not installed locally
then to get the man page for bldenv you would do $ nroff -man
<usr/src/tools/scripts/bldenv.1 | less # - however with this fix in
place the man page for the bldenv can be viewed by running: $ bldenv --man #

Bye,
Roland
