Sun Studio Compilers and Tools for OpenSolaris Developers!

September 17, 2007 — The August 2007 download of Sun Studio 11 software and patches is now available, and is required for building ON starting with ON build 75. For more details, see the Sun Studio 11 Downloads page.

February 13, 2007 — Sun Studio 11 software has been updated to include patches for building on ON build 55 and later. For more details, see the Sun Studio 11 Software -- Previous downloads page.

August 2, 2006 — Sun Studio 11 software is now available for use with OpenSolaris. For more about Sun Studio 11, visit the Sun Studio 11 Software -- Previous downloads page.

September 24, 2005 — Sun Studio 10 for OpenSolaris have been updated to build future versions of OpenSolaris. If you previously downloaded Sun Studio, you must take required action, which is different depending on which option is currently installed. See Sun Studio 10 Downloads for more details.

June 14, 2005 — OPENING DAY for Sun Studio Tools on OpenSolaris. Sun Studio is a developer tool suite for building OpenSolaris and developing performant applications to run on Solaris and OpenSolaris. Sun Studio software is being provided, free and unrestricted, to participants in the OpenSolaris Community.
