The Atlanta OpenSolaris User Group (ATLOSUG) has been established to connect members of the community interested in OpenSolaris and Solaris, and to grow the OpenSolaris community in the Atlanta area. All are welcome – developers, open-source contributors, system administrator, architects, and any other interested parties.

As the Atlanta OpenSolaris User Group approaches its fourth anniversary, we are evaluating how to continue to grow the group. We have posted a short survey at SurveyMonkey to collect some data to help with this.

Meetings

ATLOSUG holds its meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held at the offices of Matrix Resources, 115 Perimeter Center Place NE, Suite 250, Atlanta, GA. Meetings run from 7:00 to 9:00PM, with networking and light refreshments beginning at 6:30PM. Directions can be found here.

  • Abstract: COMSTAR is the framework within OpenSolaris that allows an OpenSolaris host to present itself as a target on a storage network, for example iSCSI. We will talk about how COMSTAR works, how to use it, and demonstrate its use.
