OpenSolaris Project: Irish OpenSolaris Users GroupView the leaders for this projectProject Observers Endorsing communitiesAdvocacyIrish OpenSolaris Users GroupWelcome! We exist to promote the use and development of UNIX distributions based on the OpenSolaris source code in Ireland. We've held a few user group meetings so far, the minutes of which are archived below, and going forward, we're going to try to hold monthly meetings. We encourage you to join our mailing list where we'll post details of any upcoming meetings, and try to help you out as you install and explore all things OpenSolaris related. We'd love to see you at one of our user group meetings – there's a lot to learn about OpenSolaris, and we're going to do our best to help out! If there's a particular topic you'd like us to cover at a future meeting, drop us an email, and we'll try to put something together (you can see what the other user groups have been talking about here ) How you can help & what we've talked about so far… We've now got a podcast feed, so if you've missed a meeting, you should be able to listen in on what we talked about!
MeetingsWe try to hold monthly meetings, usually on the last uesday of the month. At each meeting, we aim to give a feature presentation about some aspect of OpenSolaris, as well as a roundup of what's new and interesting in OpenSolaris over the past month. Oh, and we go for pints afterwards. We're not sure when the next meeting will be – let us know if you're interested in helping to organise it?
