The Open Fabrics Enterprise Distribution (OFED) supports InfiniBand and iWARP fabrics and contains software components to support computer clusters constructed using InfiniBand and iWARP. OFED is developed by the OpenFabrics alliance (www.openfabrics.org), which is a collaborative open source development effort. OFED is currently supported on Linux environments. Open Fabrics User Verbs / API (OF-UV) is a key component of OFED. OF-UV provides user level upper layer protocols and diagnostic utilities, an API for data transport, connection management and other functionality, using the IB and iWARP fabric. The goal of this project is to provide OF-UV support on Solaris. This project will help enable and / or provide a more efficient support to user level upper level protocols, using OF-UV, on Solaris.
