2.5 Switch to OpenSolaris template, update version number to reflect Phase 2 status. Updates to Add Printer/ Printer Properties dialog, Queue Pane and Job Pane. Several terminology consistency fixes in the GUI and the document itself. Calum Benson 2008 June 17
0.4 Simplify design to take account of design decision that we will now automatically configure printers as soon as they're detected (taking the risk that the 'guess' might be wrong). Add spec for the 'mini job pane' window that opens when you double-click a printer queue icon-- this is really just a regular print manager window with some parts hidden, and you can toggle between its two 'states' via a menu item/toolbar button. Addition of a status bar to the print manager window. Addition of Print Test Page menu item and button in Properties and Add Printer dialogs. Re-added PPD File button in Add Printer dialog. Context menu spec for panel icon, when visible. A few terminology changes and menu tweaks. Calum Benson 2008 April 4
0.3 New "Add Printer" dialog (p26), accessed from the GNOME Print dialog (p29), and from the Print Manager Printer->Add Printer menu (p17). Allows us to avoid popping up the "Add Printer" dialog for every network printer that's detected (which I never wanted to do anyway), delaying configuration of detected-but-unconfigured printers until the user actually wants to print to them. User can still have an optional panel notification balloon when network printers are detected (p25).
Since we currently have an "Add Printer" dialog that serves a different purpose, and is sometimes called "Printer Properties" (p28) depending on how it's invoked, have changed it to be called "Printer Properties" all the time, to avoid confusion.
