OpenSolaris Project: Tadpole Platform SupportView the leaders for this projectProject Observers Endorsing communitiesLaptopThe goal of this project is to improve the support for Tadpole mobile SPARC platforms in OpenSolaris, primarily by introducing software from Tadpole, but also by enhancing that software ourselves. In some cases Tadpole proprietary solutions may be eschewed for more platform neutral approaches. We will have to coordinate closely with the laptop community to do this. The following Tadpole platforms are targeted:
As a consequence of our work, we may actually improve things for other platforms as well… for example integrating an enhanced vuidsynps2 module is one of this projects goals, and is likely to benefit OpenSolaris users on many x86-based laptops. Announcements
